Founded in 1794 by Henri Gr\u00e9goire, the Conservatoire national des arts et m\u00e9tiers, “a store of new and useful inventions”, is a museum of technological innovation. The Mus\u00e9e des arts et m\u00e9tiers was refurbished in 2000, and now exhibits over 2,400 inventions. They are split into seven collections Scientific instruments, Materials, Energy, Mechanics, Construction, Communication and Transport. From 7pm, cocktail served in the church of the CNAM Museum where are displayed the original version of the Foucault pendulum<\/a>, the original model of the Statue of Liberty<\/a> by Auguste Bartholdi<\/a>, some of the first planes (Cl\u00e9ment Ader<\/a>‘s Avion III<\/a>, Louis Bl\u00e9riot<\/a>‘s Bl\u00e9riot XI<\/a>, etc), and others.
